MIA Fair

4-6 May 2012. The Milan Image Art Fair (MIA) is the first fair in Italy entirely dedicated to photography and video art.

This event focuses on the promotion and sale of works of art as well as on the recognition of photography as one of the most expressive languages in the system of contemporary art. A scientific committee, chaired by the founder Fabio Castelli, selected for this occasion a series of exhibitors, who will display the works of just one photographer or video artist per stand.

The programme includes a rich calendar of conventions, thematic workshops and round tables, which will deal with the history of image, the market system, the world of collectors and expository experiences.

The first edition of MIA Fair was held in 2011 and registered some important results hosting about 15,000 visitors and 230 exhibitors, who displayed the works by international artists coming from over 20 countries.
