15 Jan-7 March 2009. On his second exhibition in Italy, the New York based artist Michael Bevilacqua dedicates his latest works on canvas and paper to Corrosion of Conformity, a musical group fashionable in the 1980s. Bevilacqua is seduced by the punk aesthetics, the absinthe drinkers and the world of noir. A sarcastic laugh is one of the recurrent themes of this new cycle. Bevilacqua breaks up the images and reassembles them like fragments of a mirror.
Address The Flat-Massimo Carasi. Via Paolo Frisi 3, Milan, tel. 02-58313809. Tue-Sat 14.00-19.30.
