Three days of taste and quality
The fourth edition of Milan’s successful Food & Wine Festival opens on Saturday 7 February for the discovery of the best food products and the most interesting chefs in the peninsula.
Some 300 wines have been selected by Helmuth Köcher, founder and president of Merano WineFestival, for 20 years considered by professionals and experts one of the world’s reference points for wine. Each producer will present at least two labels which won awards at the Merano festival.
For three days, 19 chefs will present dishes inspired by the theme of “Tastes and colours of Expo 2015”, to be tasted in the festival’s restaurant. A special event on Sunday will see chefs from three major restaurants present their menu of three courses under the headline “Grand cuisine, small dishes”.
Saturday afternoon will host the final elimination stage of the competition to select participants for the world championship of Genovese pesto.
