Bikers and cyclists from across Europe are expected in Milan from 7 to 12 November for the 75th edition of EICMA, the International Exhibition of Cycles and Motorcycles, “for the biker inside you”.
Compared to 2016, the number of exhibitors at EICMA 2017 has grown by 14 per cent, reaching 1,626, covering 280,000 sq.m. of exhibition space. Two thirds of the exhibitors come from 40 different countries around the world.
Special areas will be dedicated to e-bikes, start-ups and innovations, in addition to the traditional exhibitors and events attracting bikers from all of Europe and beyond. Programme items familiar from previous editions will include the outdoor MotoLive area and the Temporary Bikers’ Shop, as well as the Safety Area concentrating on education and information.
While the first two days are reserved for press and trade visitors, the show is open to all enthusiasts from Thursday to Sunday from 09.30 to 18.30, and on Friday up until 22.00. Entry costs €21, but there are reductions for under-17s and over-65, and for groups – details on the exhibition website, where tickets can also be pre-booked. Parking is free for visitors arriving on their own bikes (Cargo 5 entrance).
Meanwhile, cross the city at East Market in Via Venturi 14 in Lambrate, entry is free to a display of vintage and special bikes in a former engineering plant, also featuring customising, accessories and gadgets. East EICMA is open on Thursday and Friday from 16.00 to 23.00 and on the weekend from 10.00 to 23.00.
