Milan photographer offers free portraits – with pets

10-11 Feb. A photo of love for St Valentine’s.

Award-winning Milanese photojournalist Silvia Amodio will take free portraits of pet owners with their animal friends for a “photo of love for St Valentine’s” this weekend in Milan’s Sforza castle.

From 10.00 to 18.00 on both Saturday and Sunday, Silvia will set up a professional photo-shoot studio and take the portraits to include in a book and in an exhibit planned to open in the castle later in the Spring.

The best shot of each “couple” will be handed over free in digital format.

Silvia is a specialist in studying the relationship between humans and animals.  She travelled to Hawaii to study the language of dolphins for her degree in philosophy.  She has held exhibitions in South Africa and in the US and contributes regularly to newspapers, magazines and television shows.

The shoot will take place in the “Elephants Porch”  of the castle, in a covered area so that any bad weather will not cause a postponement. Anybody who has taken part in this initiative in previous editions should be aware that newcomers will be given priority.
