Milan’s MIC – Interactive Museum of Cinema – will screen 17 masterpieces by British director Stephen Frears, named among the 100 most influential people in British culture, in a retrospective of his best-known titles.
From High Fidelity to The Queen, from Philomena to My beautiful laundrette, the series will close with his most recent film, Victoria and Abdul (2017), presented hors de concors at the Venice Film Festival.
The screenings, dubbed into Italian, are offered by the Italian Cinema Foundation as a homage to the great British storyteller. The detailed programme is on the MIC website.
