12 Sept-25 Nov 2007. Milan celebrates Mimmo Jodice, a great master of Italian photography, in an album of a journey that has lasted 30 years.
From Naples to Turin, from Trieste to Paestum, through Rome, along the Tiber and into its archaeological sites, Jodice's photographic eye catches places and feelings in one shot. From the classic world to the present, his photographs allow the viewer to lose perception of time and place. His photographs turn into a journey of the soul.
Mimmo Jodice, born in Naples in 1934, is a photographer of rare visual sensibility who has a classic ideal of the world. His art reveals a beautiful, silent universe versus a noisy, fast and superficial world.
