The seventh edition of MITO Settembremusica starts on Tuesday 4 September at La Scala with Mozart’s Great Mass in C minor with the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin and the Cappella Amsterdam.
After three decades of classical concerts every September in Turin, 2007 marked the twinning with Milan (MITO – as well as meaning “myth” – also links the abbreviations of the two cities) and the start of a tradition of bringing world-class music – both classical and jazz – at popular prices.
The gold card for 14 concerts costs €280, and the silver card for 8 costs €190, while a three-concert pass costs €50 (€40 for jazz concerts). The full programme is available on the official website, while this page lists the opening hours of the box office, as well as the opportunities for on-line booking and the various agreements with other organisations for discounted prices.
Unsold tickets are also available directly at the concert venue each evening, 45 minutes before the start.
