Naviglio market greets Spring in Milan

14 April. Annual Milan Spring market on Sunday.

Milan greets Spring on Sunday 14 April with the annual Fiori e Sapori “flowers and flavours” market on the banks of the great canal, a tradition since 1982.

The Naviglio Grande is the picturesque spot to cruise the stalls offering flowers and plants brought by nurserymen from all over Italy, as well as gardening advice and equipment.

Interspersed with the flower stalls are selections of local produce, natural foods, wines and more, for tasting on the spot or for carrying home.

Entrance is free to the market, which is open from 08.30 to 19.00. Reach it on tram line 2 or on bus lines 74 or 164 from Porta Genoa M2 station.
