20 June-9 September 2012. This exhibition, entitled New Futurism-Redesigning the City, displays a selection of works by the New Futuristic group, founded by the Italian art critic and collector Luciano Inga-Pin between 1983 and 1984.
On display are the works by Romolo Pallotta, Claudio Ragni, Gianni Cella, Gianantonio Abate, Clara Bonfiglio, Dario Brevi, Andrea Crosa, Marco Lodola, Battista Luraschi, Luciano Palmieri and Umberto Postal. Inga-Pin had a central role in the management of the Milanese gallery Il Diagramma for his intense activity of talent scout.
The New Futurists were deeply inspired by the historical Futurist artist, such as Giacomo Balla and Fortunato Depero. Their works, characterized by the use of polyesters, Perspex, synthetic resins as well as of brilliant colours, propose pieces of furniture and fabrics, which exalt the hedonistic and lavish urbanization.
