No Need For Real?

2-16 September 2012. This exhibition, entitled No Need For Real?, opens a discussion on the need for real and its relationship with the virtual reality in media art within new digital technologies. Through a multidisciplinary approach, it introduces art works, in which art meets new technologies as well as history, science and engineering.

The main goal is to use the most diverse technologies in order to show a new artistic approach, oriented towards the applied research. These works, among the others by Will Pappenheimer, John Craig Freeman, Tamiko Thiel and the International Arts Group Curious Minds, promote the technological development in the field of visualization and 3d interaction through mobile devices, such as smart phones and innovative laptops provided with webcams. It is possible to vision the art works virtually and experiment with the future boarders of this artistic approach.
