20 May-4 July 2010. The Trussardi Foundation presents the world premiere of Pig Island, a 100-sqm sculpture by Paul McCarthy. The legendary American artist has brought to Milan his monumental masterpiece, created as a work in progress over the past seven years, as well as a selection of works created between 1970 and 2010. The sculpture represents a surreal carnival funfair, where men are finally free from their inhibitions and behave like pigs.

McCarthy has played a key role in the history of contemporary art. His videos, performances, installations and sculptures mix the lightness of Pop Art with popular fairy tales, nightmares of the news with international gossip, Hollywood
