12 April-1 May 2011. On occasion of the 50th edition of Salone del Mobile, this exhibition entitled Principia, Stanze e sostanze delle arti prossime (Rooms and substance of the next arts), celebrates the origins of the generating principles of art.

This ambitious project involves the construction of a molecular pavilion in Piazza Duomo divided in eight rooms, each of which expresses a driving scientific principle behind the creation of works in sound, visual, architectural and industrial arts.

On display are the works by young up-and-coming artists as well as well known contemporary artists, such as Marina Abramovic, Carlo Bernardini, Ludovico Einaudi, Marta de Menezes, Luca Pozzi, Karin Sander and Pablo Valbuena, who use the latest and most advanced technologies, such as nano technologies, high frequencies, algorithms and spacialized 3D.

The idea is to analyze the relationship between science and art, focusing on how the principles of contemporary art have multiplied involving all the human senses to create innovations in the language of art.
