Scene da Fotoromanzo

14 January 2012. This convention explores the history, forms and ways of the popular and complex genre of fotoromance. On this occasion several international historians, professors and writers, such as Silvana Turzio, Jan Baetens, Giulio Mozzi, Matteo Balduzzi and Simone Somaini,  will intervene and analyse fotoromance from a linguistic  and sociological point of view as well its relationship with cinema and literature.
Fotoromance is a very wide and less known Italian popular genre, which has had since the beginning of the 1950s a great success. Its specialty consists in its complex and undecided nature, which oscillates between comics and serial narration, photographic sequences and fairytale narrations.
Event will last from 10.00 to 18.00.
