30 March-29 April 2012. This exhibition, entitled God Save Anime (Souls), brings together a nucleus of works, inspired by the world of American comics and Japanese manga, by the Italian artist Sergio Cavallerin.
On display is a selection of canvases as well as sculptures and an installation, dedicated to Dragon Ball. These works take the public to an ironical and impertinent journey through icons and reference models, proposed by contemporary culture for new generations. For Cavallerin cartoon characters have become today protagonists of a real cult and they deserve therefore to be raised, in a sometimes provocative way, to the role of sacred images.
