Milan and another 19 surrounding comuni are welcoming visitors for the seventh edition of this two-week festival of events for kids, adults and families covering tourist venues, hospitality, artisan and creative excellence, art, culture and nature.
Visitors will be met by some 450 young guides from local secondary schools and universities, who have taken a specialisation course and are keen to show them over 100 villas, churches, art exhibitions, parks and cascine, most of them open free for the festival.
The events are also linked to two “risotto weeks”, named for Lombardy’s best-known culinary specialty: some 50 restaurants and trattorie will be offering menus of traditional local dishes at tempting special prices.
Supermilano has involved 350 local cultural, social and sporting associations and some 22,000 companies in the wide-ranging programme of events.
A detailed programme of all the events, including instructions on how to reach them by car or by public transport, is available on the dedicated Supermilano website.
