5 April 2011-26 February 2012. On occasion of the 150th anniversary of Salone del Mobile, Triennale Design Museum dedicates this exhibition to those men, companies and projects, which have helped create Italian design since the end of world war two and the international success of the success of Salone del Mobile worldwide.

Through a series of iconic objects, some of which are among the most famous pieces of Italian design, this exhibition tells the story of the Italian design factories, underlining the functional and poetic value of their productions.

Furthermore, it documents the great skills and abilities of these research laboratories, which attract also foreign designers, who choose to work in Italy for its excellence in production. As in an adventure of the fairy tale Alice in Wonderland, objects are put in direct dialogue with designers, the stories of great business men are intertwined with their biographies in an entertaining atmosphere rich of interesting suggestions.
