12 Apr-19 July 2008. On the centenary of the Credito Valtellinese Institute, three exhibitions are dedicated to the Ligari, a dynasty of Lombardy painters from the 18th century. The fulcrum of this project is the Galleria Credito Valtellinese in Palazzo delle Stelline, which displays the main works by the Ligari, divided into three thematic sections: the sacred, the profane and the portraits. While at Museo Diocesano in the Sala della Confraternita are the works by Pietro, Cesare and Vittoria Ligari, compared with paintings of other Lombardy and Venetian artists, who preceded or influenced their career. A third exhibition is displayed from 14 May to 19 July 2008 in Sondrio, at the Galleria Credito Valtellinese in Palazzo Sertoli, where a monographic section focuses on the drawings and incisions of these masters.

The Ligari were called after a road of the same name in Sondrio. The founder was Giovan Pietro, called
