The making of Milan’s Duomo

11 July: A free screening of the story of the city’s cathedral.

A moving and inspiring film in a very special setting: the movie L’Infinita fabbrica del Duomo tells the story of Milan’s iconic cathedral from the very beginning, screened inside the Duomo itself.

The film recounts the history of the planning, creation and maintenance of the cathedral through the centuries, a poetic homage to the marble workers, carpenters, bricklayers, smiths, goldsmiths and restorers whose work keeps the Duomo alive.

Presented in collaboration between Milano Design Film Festival and the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo, the screening is free as long as places are available, and starts at 20.00.

Guests are requested to respect the place of prayer with appropriate dress, shoulders covered and no shorts. No glass objects or motorbike helmets admitted.

The film lasts 75m. and was created by Massimo D’Anolfi and Martina Parenti.
