This collective photographic exhibition, entitled The New York Scene, tells the story of New York in the years between the 1970s and 1980s, when Pop Art and Beat Generation reigned in the Big Apple. On display are photographs by Allen Ginsberg, one of the founders of the Beat Generation along with Jack Kerouac, William Burroughs and Gregory Corso, as well as shots by Nan Goldin and the Rome artist Gianfranco Gorgoni, Christopher Makos, Robert Mapplethorpe, Andy Warhol and Ron Galella, the most famous American paparazzo in the 1970s.
