2-31 Mar. Triennale displays the suggestive photographs by Paola De Pietri taken on the border between Italy and Austria, along what was once the Italian-Austria front of world war one.
Her elegant shots, taken between 2009 and 2011, with their tranquil and realistic tones are part of a project, prized with the prestigious Albert Renger-Patzsch Award in 2009, which investigates the slow mutation of this mountain landscape, once marked by bombings, trenches and traces of a hard and violent conflict. Where once was war, now the nature and the landscape hides the complexity and toughness of those events. Her shots pay homage to memory and to the history of those men.
Tue-Sun 10.30-20.30, Thurs 10.30-23.00.
