17 April-5 Sept 2010. This exhibition displays 200 masterpieces juxtaposing the Roman Empire and the Chinese dynasties Qin and Ha. The period under analysis runs from the second century BC to the second century AD and reconstructs the main events concerning the rise and development of these two empires. The exhibition focuses on different aspects of daily life, society, social communication, culture and the economy. In addition to the terracotta warriors, visitors can admire small ceramic statues telling of the costumes, fashion, chivalry and military arts of the Chinese culture. These are placed alongside majestic statues in marble, frescos, mosaics, silver tools and funeral altars belonging to the artistic tradition of the Roman empire.

This exhibition showed at the Beijing World Art Museum in 2009 on the occasion of the celebrations for the 60th anniversary of the People
