20 September-2 December 2012. HangarBicocca displays a monumental audio-visual work by the German contemporary artist Carsten Nicolai, nicknamed Alva Noto.
Unidisplay consists of a 40 meters long display, surrounded by mirrors, on which images are multiplied to infinity. This moving fresco involves visitors in a suggestive sensorial experience.
Nicolai, who is also a musician and a producer, has been protagonists of Berlin’s creative scenery since the 1990s. His artistic research combines electronic music with images. His is particularly appreciated internationally for his installations and performances, which explore the connections between vision, sound, architecture, science and technology.
On 29 November at 21.00 Nicolai will perform a spectacular live performance at Hangar Bicocca, entitled univrs / univrs (uniscope version).
