4 July-2 September 2012. Spazio Oberdan displays this reportage, entitled Wedding Scenes, by the Italian photographer Daniele Del Castillo.
The artist immortalizes some moments of the ceremony, which will bring to the creation of a new family, including excited couples, moved relatives and bored altar boys.
Weddings are narrated in a realistic and participated way without filters and stereotypes, tricks or adjustments. Del Castillo does not simply catch the canonical moments, as in the usual wedding reportages, but also the waiting, the reactions, the pauses and the unpredictable, which however happens.
The contest is told through a series of illuminating details, which tell much of a society and of a time.
