Hard on the heels of Milan Fashion Week, White 2013 presents the best of contemporary women’s fashion and accessories in Via Tortona from Saturday 21 to Monday 23 September.
Organisers are expecting over 15,000 fashionistas to visit the 300 Italian and 140 foreign stands exhibiting in the former Ansaldo factory, close to the homes of most of the world-famous brands. “This is one of the most innovative events of Fashion Week,” said city councillor Cristina Tajani, presenting the programme. “It’s an appointment that the sector is very much looking forward to, in one of the city’s most dynamic areas.”
Among the novelties this year will be the Red Week Magazine room showcasing the cooperation between White and one of the most prestigious on-line fashion magazines. The first paper edition will be printed in limited edition in exclusivity with White.
Another novelty will be the White and See area dedicated to spectacles. And in cooperation with Milan’s biggest publishing house, Food Experience Mondadori will explore the bonds between fashion and food with slowcooking and talks on the links between the two worlds.
The catalogue, with shots by leading photographer Stefano Guindani, has been designed as much as a collector’s item as a guide to the exhibition. And to mark the opening, clothing and accessory designer Ludovica Amati will present a performance linking music, fashion and art in the Castello Sforzesco on the Saturday evening.
The full programme of the exhibition is available on the White website.
