27 April-11 June 2010. The late German painter, sculptor and noise music maker Wolf Vostell (1932-1998) is the focus of a retrospective at Fondazione Mudima. A selection of famous works by Vostell himself as well as some that document his activity in Italy retrace his artistic career from the 1960s to 1996. Vostell is considered one of the pioneers of video art, environmental sculpture happenings and the Fluxus Movement, an international network of artists, composers and designers who explored different artistic media and disciplines in the 1960s. The ground floor hosts the installation Fandango from 1975, which consists of 24 car doors that have been modified by the artist with an electrical device that strikes a hammer on the outside of the door. Since 1989 Fondazione Mudima has permanently housed Vostell
