Women's Sunday for wellness and quality of life

8th edition of summer’s end festival

The non-profit association Donna a Milano has organised a day-long festival dedicated to wellness, quality of life, culture, music and kids’ games, with entrance free from 10.00 to 19.00.

Talks and presentations will introduce the association’s volunteer work to improve the life of women in the city and to spread the word on correct lifestyles, psycho-physical wellness, on health and sickness prevention, and in general on the role of women in the family and society.

Among the themed stands, visitors will find the Association of Women Doctors, the Anti-violence Centre, the Anti-Cancer League and the House of Rights, an organisation founded by Milan’s city hall to provide defence of civil rights and protection against discrimination.

Apart from free check-ups for cholesterol, hearing and blood pressure, there will be demonstrations of wholistic medicine aimed at women such as yoga, relaxation and respiration therapy, shiat-su massage and henna makeup and tattoo techniques.

Kids’ activities will include concerts, theatre, circus arts, cake design, magic shows, kids’ makeup and a bread-making workshop, as well as a demonstration of falconry.

A surprise welcome bag will be handed to visitors on arrival.

The full programme of the event is available on the festival website.
